In The End We Are ALL Human Beings & That Is Fine

To stay grounded and not get whipped up be the construct of “other” through “fame” – to be seen as a “being” that is on an equal plane is far more rewarding, beneficial socially, emotional binding empowering. People are after all are people and one is no better nor worse than anybody else be yourself.

Then maybe we would live in more selfless (rather than selfish) society.

Moving On – Political Egalitarianism

Egalitarian_and_equality_logoWe Can Do This

Moving Forward – With the recent positive and empowering comments made below with regards to the Government yes I believe we can move forward if people help each other we can challenge many things and call upon common sense and reality to do so, call upon the will for better future were¬†Egalitarianism and equality for all, regardless of class, social status, gender, colour or religion – with social economy made fairer and accessible for all, social security/benefits more person-centred and empowering the ill and disabled, NHS to still be the NHS, the rich and poor gap to cease and to an end to hopelessness and poverty. I still live in hope and were there is hope there is a vision of reality that accounts everybody so despite this government coming people can still stand for a fair social world. ūüôā

Let’s do this! ūüôā

The Political Landscape Of Tomorrow Becomes Today

CenobiteReflective Thinking

I don’t usually talk about politics but today I woke up to a Conservative Government a this is truly worrying for me – my parents lived through the hardships of the the earlier Conservative government in the past. So if you want cuts to your NHS, benefits and social security lampooned and made light of with stereotypes a plunder to induce further cutting, bedroom tax, elderly fuel allowance cut, pension ages to rise, employment to rise (but at what emotional cost!) and the constant propaganda about the deficit needing to be tackled when “money” can just be created anyway, the broadening of the rich/poor gap while they sit idle on there ivory towers looking over their “kingdoms” they have created then congratulations you have got it. Welcome to hell!

However…read my next post for some more reflective thinking. ūüėČ

“Neurotypical” – Is the Word Useful? And/or Meaningful?

“Exhibiting¬†the¬†qualities,¬†traits,¬†or¬†characteristics¬†that¬†identify¬†a¬†kind,¬†class,¬†group,¬†or¬†category”IMAG0110

The Use Of The Word

The word itself doesn’t make sense – being used to describe¬†“others”¬†(people who aren‚Äôt on the spectrum)¬†society is a mixture of different sorts of people and rather than lumping people into one¬†“group” (neurotypical society, neurotypicals, NTS)¬†wouldn’t it be best to say people who don’t have autism? People who aren’t on spectrum?

It has also been used as word to¬†“attack‚ÄĚ people¬†by some people on the autism spectrum who don’t have autism which surely is reverse prejudice?

Two wrongs certainly don’t make a right in this case.

People Who Aren’t On The Spectrum – Aren’t All The Same (Because No One Is)

You can’t define other (in this context people who aren’t on the autism spectrum)¬†by a set of standards that you have created based on assumption that they must all be like that, that is stereotyping, generalising and over-simplifying. If you treat the set of people by the same standards you expect them to treat you in this case that doesn’t apply because of the contradiction.

If it was reversed and all people on the spectrum were thought to be the same and that was projected people I’m sure people from many different quarters would have something to say – the same applies here. Humans are unique and worthy regardless of having a disability or not. Everyone is equal.

Being Balanced

Two people spring to mind who also question many aspects of the autism word – I have written many blogs about sense of togetherness and all views being taken into account in balanced and objective manner.

Dr Casanova

Dr Manuel Casanova has written many thought provoking and reflective blogs on this subject about representation. I consider Dr Casanova a realist with very firm and empathic with genuine heartfelt intentions and questions with regards to this subject.

THE NEURODIVERSITY MOVEMENT

Donna Williams 2011

Donna Williams¬†has also written highly reflective blogs with regards to the this subject. She has too shares the same qualities with a firm realistic approach, empathic genuine and heartfelt in her words and intentions. I consider their sage advice forward thinking in the context of the autism “world”.

NTs’… When a Word Becomes ‘Loaded’ and Why I Don’t do Bigotry

People Are People

I like people on the basis of being people it doesn’t matter who they are or were they come from I like them for their personalities not because of¬†anything other ‚Äď human beings are all unique and that means we are all equal in the world.

Egalitarianism & Equalism – Is That The Way Forward For Autism?

Egalitarian doctrines maintain that all humans are equal in fundamental worth or social status”

Cambian Event 2014 12

Everyone Is Precious & Equal

In the context of the autism world (and my outlook in general) this is where I stand equality is for everyone, everybody who is in this world.

I look at both sides of the the coin and take into account peoples realities (that makes me neutral/moderate/in the middle) that means that you look in a more three dimensional perspective of peoples diverse realities you cannot speak for all but one can learn from EACH OTHER through listening, experiencing and connecting. That is what is needed in this world kindness and empathy and accepting other people’s views.
That means the inclusion of

  • Parents/Carers/Guardians
  • All Experiences On The Spectrum (The Whole Spectrum)
  • Professionals In The Field Of Autism (Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Neurologists, Biologists etc)
  • Social Support Services
  • Educational Services
  • Housing Services
  • And Many More

Militancy & Extremism & Is Not Equality

No it isn’t is is quite the reverse it subjects people, suppresses them into a forced mode of thought and/or perception this means that voices potentially get lost in the process making people feel if they don’t go along with this – they are out of the “club”, lonely or worse. All views are of equal valor in the context. They should not violent, immature of disrespectful to someones character – all views even in disagreement can be acknowledged and politely disagreed with. This is why I am not a “culturist” or an “curist” but I believe in a balanced manner both sides have the right to their views it is in the way that they’re expressed and what is behind them.

DONNA WILLIAMS BLOG – AUTISM POLITICS

MANUEL CASANOVA – NEURODIVERSITY

Person with Autism

I also try my best to live with the good cards I was given not over-investing in my autism being the defining factor of my being (but having a healthy acknowledgment of it that it’s there) but also thinking about other qualities I have such as being a writer, poet and artist – I do have disability, I do have autism and I have a “mild” learning disability that is true but I am a human being first and foremost. And for someone to be seen as person equal to everyone else is a basic human right for anyone.

Social Equality – It’s for Everyone

Accepting experiences is through the understanding that everybody was born equal, no labels, no social status, no preconceptions just born a little person preparing to grow-up on what ever path is grown from development, environment and/or otherwise everybody has the right to have a roof over their head, three meals a day, a wage/payment which can support themselves and their families, a benefit system that cares for the disabled and people with mental illnesses, a government that looks out for all it’s people, wars quenched not and man made barriers be fallen so every person knows the commonality of being human is that everybody is all different and let people be novices to other peoples experiences so another person gains anew. People all deserve the right to be equal.

In The End We Are All Human

Emperor_RotJ

The Emperor – A Symbol Of Narcissism

We Are All Human

One should never claim ownership other another – what binds us is that we are all human (we all have realities that are of equal worth and importance) – to strive is to help not hate, nurture not damage, build up not break-down, live free not be shackled by your own thinking and forced into another ways thinking – I wish we could all respect each other much more the world would be a much kinder place.

Why the video? This video to me states many things – narcissism, narcissistic object (the emperor sees both Vader and Luke as “tools”), social and symbolical manipulation, sociopathy and psychopathy and this sort of behaviour that causes relationships to break down, mental illness and isolation. Remember one thing we are are all human and that we are all equal none are above to many man-made barriers are made “them and us”, prejudice, reverse prejudice and so forth lets start off on a clean slate of being all equal and acknowledging all realities.

The Emperor – Star Wars

The Narcissist Will In End Only Think Of Him/Herself

The narcissist internalizes these pliable representations, manipulates them, and interacts with them – not with the originals. The narcissist is entirely immersed in his world, talking to these “figurines”, arguing with these substitutes, contracting with these surrogates, being admired by them.

Hence his dismay when confronted with real people, their needs, feelings, preferences, and choices.

From “The Narcissist’s Object Constancy” By Dr Sam Vakin
Egalitarianism

I believe everyone is equal that means that no one is above anyone else in any context.

Listening & Hearing Everyone’s Views In The Autism”World”

SAM_1053

A Reminder of my stance on Autism Politics – everyone has a story to tell and the in a free democracy (and within moral context) should be able to express their views but when it becomes to being militant, political and nasty I don’t want any part of it.

LISTENING TO EVERYONE

We must take into account both stances in a balanced manner (their realities, experiences, thoughts and feelings) which is excellent but not militancy it will get people nowhere it makes others feel alone and “wrong” (for what ever reason) – lets just except both sides and be neutral and open our hearts that both sides have equal validity.¬†

NO SINGLE REPRESENTATIVES

Remember one group of people can not represent all (in any context), one person cannot represent “one condition”, one group cannot be self-righteous but what we can try and do is ¬†be accepting.

AUTISM JOURNEYS

The Journey to having Autism is diverse, complicated and very real for parents/carers and they have a right to express their reasons for how their child has come to have Autism.

Fruit Salad Analogy Donna Williams

AUTISM & AUTO-IMMUNE ISSUES

Being open to the fact that people some with Autism (including my Father) have compacting health issues which can lead to serious complications, some people have metabolic, collagen, gut and cellular which is APART of their Autism Profile and can in turn have an impact on their  communication, sensory integration/processing.

AGNOSIAS. APRAXIAS, APHASIAS & BRAIN INJURY

Autism Processing includes – Agnosias, Apraxias, Aphasias are related to brain injury (just read about these conditions and see for yourself) and and some people’s trajectory to getting “Autism” is through brain injury. (but that is my journey not anybody else’s).

AUTISM & PEOPLE WITH A LEARNING DISABILITY

Some people with Autism have a Learning Disability which is to do with how people cognitively processing information (not a “lack” of something but that is how it is portrayed) – the lack of inclusion for people with Autism and an LD is a personal worry for me as inclusion for all should mean that they have views and opinions too which are equally valid.

DIFFERENT FORMS OF COMMUNICATION

Some people with Autism have others ways of communicating (FC for example) their inner most thoughts, feelings and expressions which are equally valid in way in which they are expressing it and shouldn’t be frowned upon or questioned as it is their way of communicating.

LISTENING TO OTHERS

So lets strip away all the politics from both sides and listen to each other.  I live in hope.

PERSONHOODS

Taking a step back from this has be a relief and remember people on the spectrum’s personhood’s never let them forget that.¬†¬†

The Problem With Conspiracy Memes & Collective Narcissism

OVERVIEW

Narcissists & Collective Narcissism

I dislike people who proclaim to be “for the people” but behind all that bravado, chat, smoke and mirrors create a “cult” status built on lies, vulnerability of others and scaremongering of the highest order, write books and talk rubbish about “conspiracy theories” saying that “their way is THE way and no one else is right or has a valid¬†opinion other than THEIR way” with such conviction that others believe it to be “true” and “reality” as we know it, they follow them see them as “better”, see them as “demi-gods” or at the very least a “good person” sitting on their ivory tower knowing that people are spreading and scaring others with their words. If that isn’t narcissism I don’t know what is.

Conspiracy Memes

I dislike conspiracy memes that proclaim to be telling the truth but is just as much as lie as the people they proclaim to be lying (they twist elements of the truth too to create a confirmation bias based on their own views), I dislike the fact that such memes delve into the such evil, such corruption that I cannot even begin to repeat what that is all about. Not good.

Freedom

What we need is to get REAL and start from there. What this world needs is a bit more reality no fantasy.  What the worlds needs is love, connectivity, community, togetherness and equality for all.
