What I like about My World (based in the UK) is that they offer services for the whole spectrum and the inclusion of the whole spectrum is very important (as I have stated in previous posts) people not being “written off”, but being taken as people with their communication, sensory and language profiles being taken into account and building bridges of communication and connectivity, promoting empowerment and confidence. 🙂
That is so important for these people the philosophy is to be open-minded, holistic and person-centred for the people that come to My World as the company name states “Living My Life” is very important. 🙂 That is how balanced personhoods grow. 🙂 Which we can all learn from to be balanced with someones Autism profile and their personhood.
Personhood first is something that My World advocate for as well as looking at the person’s Autism profile (communication, language and sensory profiles).
